Celebrating Life
Turks and Caicos is a great place to celebrate life and especially ten years of togetherness. Ann and I decided to go there for our tenth wedding anniversary. Luxury resorts in Providenciales, where we could enjoy our holiday in comfort were plenty. The accommodation options available were varied and wide, from luxury resorts to private beachfront villas and from small bed and breakfast inns run by families to all-inclusive hotels. We were staying at the Grace Bay Club, a luxury resort with beautiful villas, penthouses, and suites with mesmerizing views of the ocean. The private patio in our suite was where we used to enjoy having our breakfast every morning.
The Infiniti bar at the resort is one thing I shall not forget so easily. it is a huge bar that stretches from the hotel to the beach and was the ideal place to make new friends. We met quite a few interesting people while we stopped to get a drink before or after a swim at the resort pool. Our days were spent lazing on the loungers by the pool. I used to doze off on one of the loungers under the shady tree after my elaborate lunches since I used to be too lazy to get up and go to the suite. The tennis courts and the fitness centers were my perfect companions to burn off the calories I had gathered from the scrumptious meals we at the two open-air restaurants in the luxury resort. Our exclusive anniversary dinner on the beach will be a cherished memory for years. It was just the two of us and the sound of the gentle waves and the tiki torches.
Next year I guess we would go to the Como Shambala Spa on Parrot Cay. A couple we met at the Infiniti bar in the resort had talked to us about the a week-long yoga retreat on Parrot Cay.
